| In the first half of 2012, a diverse picture of the Schlatter Group divisions emerged. The revenue-supporting Wire segment in particular struggled with significant falls in volume and declining margins due to the strength of the Swiss franc. Encouraging sales growth was observed in the Weaving segment. The Schlatter Group therefore posted an order intake of CHF 67.6 million in the first semester, lagging behind the corresponding period in the previous year (CHF 73.9 million). The previous year's order book did however lead to an increase in net sales to CHF 60.7 million (H1 2011: CHF 56.4 million).
